The Tissot PR 516 chronograph is a reinterpretation of a popular model from the 1960ies. The collection includes a mechanical chronograph model and three quartz variants. The PR in the name stands for "P articularly R obust" or sometimes also for "P recision and R esistance". 516 means it was the 16th model in the 5th (water resistant) series. The Tissot PR516 collection has a dynamic sporty retro design. The tapered stainless steel case combines robustness and style, with three counters for the timer function, and a tachymeter and heart rate monitor on the bezel to measure speed and heart rate. The placement of the counters is different between the mechanical and quartz models, creating a distinction between the two. The bezel, indexes and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova® for better visibility in all conditions. The case back of the quartz watch features an engraved laurel wreath and a sports car steering wheel with the number 516 in the center, symbolizing the racing heritage that comes with this collection.
